Help our park to breathe!  Come to our semi-annual cleanup.  Bags, tongs and gloves supplied (and maybe a little treat).

Alliance Parc Deschênes has once again planned a mycological excursion guided by the members of the Mycologues amateurs de   l'Outaouais. Young and old are welcome. You can bring a small basket or a bag to collect mushrooms. After collecting, the mushrooms will be identified by the experts! An activity not to be missed!

You are invited to join us to celebrate five years of  protection for the Deschênes forest. There will be information kiosks, guided walks and cake.

This discovery walk is open to everyone and will help you get to know the Deschênes forest better. We'll talk about its biodiversity, history and geographical aspects. Together, we'll discover the emblematic species. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Take a flight through time! Explore the evolution of Quartier Deschênes over the last century through stunning aerial imagery. From the winding route of the Troisième portage to the shifting Ottawa River shoreline, and the transformation of Parc Deschênes, this presentation showcases how much has changed — and what has stayed the same.

Alliance Parc Deschênes is inviting you to a walk in Deschênes forest focusing on the individual well-being, and connecting
mind and body with the natural surrounding environment. This walk, guided by Pam Stellick, is offered in English and
French. Important to note: since there will be some silent moments and breathing exercises during this activity, it may not be of
interest to young children. Don’t forget to bring mosquito repellent !
 

When: Sunday June 8. The walk will start at 10:00am until 11:30am
Meeting place: across from 100 Fraser Road, sector Aylmer, Gatineau

Agence Bassin Versant des 7, another non-profit organisation involved in shoreline protection and wetland conservation , will be joining the Alliance for this activity. All necessary equipment to be provided.

Deschênes Park Alliance is pleased to invite you to its Annual General Meeting 2025!

Where: Belmont Community Centre, 26 Belmont, Aylmer sector 
When: Thursday March 20, 2025, at 19h00
Time: The general meeting will start at 19h00 and will wrap up around 20h00. It will be
followed by Wine and cheese tasting allowing to mingle and discuss and to visit the Alliance
kiosk on site.
Presentation: In addition to the regular report on administration and activities of the Alliance, there will be a presentation by Howard Powles about the 100 years of history of Deschênes area.
