Detailed maps of the wetlands are being developed in order to quantify spatial and temporal changes in these fragile ecosystems.  No systematic survey of the future park has been done to date, with the level of detail and spatial resolution needed to accurately characterise the wetlands.  To support the mapping project DPA conducted a series of drone overflights in 2021-22.

Using a geographic information system (GIS) and an image analysis module we have been able to prepare a detailed map of the Lamoureux Marsh.  This dynamic ecosystem is of key importance in the habitat mosaic of the future park.
